The Bookish Book Lover Tag

Ah! Fun stuff today, y’all. A couple weeks ago, Gabriele had tagged me for the Bookish Book Lover Tag, and I apologize that it has taken me so long to get to it. But, without further nonsensical ado, let the games begin…

What book are you currently reading?

Stoner’s Crossing, which I’m loving. I haven’t read too many westerns, so it’s definitely a change from my other favorite genres. I just finished the first book, the Frontier Lady, and it left me with so many questions, I just HAD to read the next books!

What was the last book you finished?

Twinepathy! I really, really loved this book! It was short and SUPER exciting! The characters were amazing. ๐Ÿ™‚

What is your favorite book youโ€™ve read this year?

WHAT?! Is that really a question???!!

I think this is one of my favorite books out of all my favorite books…The feels! JACE! Ahhh!!! *bursts into a fangirl rant like a boss* I had the hardest time getting off this series for the sake of reading other books. I just love the characters so much! And all that happened in this book? How can someone NOT want to reread it gazillion times?!

Anyways… moving on…

What genre have you read the most this year?

That’s a difficult question to answer. I mean, I’ve been reading several different genres, but I haven’t favored any.

What genre do you want to read more of?

Historical fiction!… no, I want to read more fantasy! …but I should read more Christian living and classics!… and yet, I currently pursue westerns! Ah, the struggle.

How many books have you read this year? And what is your goal?

*whines like a preschooler who just watched her classmate eat the last cookie* Do I have to answer this? I’m not very proud of my answer, especially to Gabriele’s mammoth 70. Oh, well. Here it goes.

I’ve read… 19… *hides in shame*

My goal was *cough cough* 100, buuuut, change of plans, maybe I could just try reading 50? Maybe?

What’s the last book you bought?

The Lone Star Legacy series! My friend let me read her copy of the first book, and I loved it so much I just decided to buy the series. Deborah and Carolyn are my spirit animals, guys. All the drama and all the mystery in these books are outstanding! I especially love watching them grow spiritually. They challenge my faith while entertaining my hunger for adventure and action! *whoop whoop*

What book(s) are you saving up to buy next?

The Red River of the North! My friend told me about this series, and just how much she loves it, so I’m really wanting to get my hands on these babies!

How many books did you check out last from the library?

Haven’t checked one out in a while, but I can imagine only two or three. I always find that the books I want to read are not at the library, so I just buy the books online.

What’s a book you can’t wait to read?

Ummm… That’s, like, every book I haven’t read yet. Ha ha. But here’s a few, just because I’m supposed to use a bunch of book covers. ๐Ÿ˜‰

What’s a series(or book) you recommend to everyone?

Whelp, I could tell you to read all the books I’ve enjoyed, but, these are purdyย  much the main ones I’d seriously press on people to read. For real, read these book, and when I list these, I really mean the whole series. Ha.

Who’s an author you hope writes more?

Several of my favorite authors are already in the middle of writing their next books, or recently just published, except for Sharon Hinck. So probably her. She’s a great author, and I love her books(the Sword of Lyric). Unfortunately, she hasn’t written a book for a few years. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

A few books your heart adores:

I can never just do “a few”…

What series coming conclusion makes you sad?

I know this is just a standalone, buuut… I cried when this ended. So much feels and emotions and… *sniffles* I’m sorry, I just… I can’t. *cries hysterically*

Basically me in this book. I… just… can’t… take it… *Waaahahahaaa!*

Oh, my. This book. This series. Kieran. I got really, REALLY attached to all these characters. At one point I wasn’t even looking at other books, I was so stuck on this series. I’d reread it 5 times each day, every day– save Sunday… but I’ll NEVER forget you all!

What books do you have on your wishlist?

So many. Can I just buy the library and the nearest Barnes and Nobles, please?

Here’s the books I haven’t read, but want to get since they actually aren’t at the nearest library:

  1. YES YES YES! PLEASE READ THE RED RIVER OF THE NORTH SERIES!!!!!!! I absolutely LOVE that series! I have read most of them twice, and am now working my way through the series again! (please pardon my over-use of all caps. ๐Ÿ˜‰ And the prequel “An Untamed Heart” was amazing too! I loved it! All the characters are amazing and so real life! But be prepared, it’s a tear jerker! Especially in the first book!
I just recently read “Dare”, and while it was good, it wasn’t AMAZING to me. It just didn’t seem to be as well written or thought out as the Resistance series. (maybe I shouldn’t compare them).

I just put the Restorer on my kindle. Can’t wait to read it! ๐Ÿ˜€ It sounds intriguing.

Anyway, I could go on for hours, but I will stop. ๐Ÿ™‚ Great post! I loved all the gifs and images throughout. It made it so much more fun! ๐Ÿ™‚

I haven’t read any westerns. I must do this.

From the Dark to the Dawn sounds really good! I haven’t read this book before. AND IT IS ABOUT ANCIENT ROME???!!!!! Count me in!

You must read Dare and fall in love with such a heartbroken character like Jace!

Go absolutely nuts with shipping people in The Lunar Chronicles. I mean, seriously, there is so much to ship. D-:

Read A Time to Die and be stressed out like crazy. The author has no qualms about killing favorite characters.

Okay. I think I’m done ranting for now. Thanks for doing the tag!!!
